It has been a full 3 WEEKS since my parents dropped me off at training camp and boy has it been so beyond special! Throughout these 3 weeks I have learned the importance of community and true friendship with my brothers and sisters in Christ. We have learned to hold each other accountable and push one another closer to Christ. Each and every one of them is such a joy to be around (even when we are hangry and hand washing our stinky clothes😂) and seeing the love of Christ through them is such an encouraging sight!
Let me show you what a typical day in training camp is like! We wake up around 7:30 and have personal devotional time from 8:15 to 9:00am. We have breakfast at 9:00am then head to team devotionals at 10:00am (we are all going through romans right now!). From there we head to our first session of the day! Session is when all of the squads join together and learn about cultural differences, spiritual issues, how to share our testimonies to different religions, and so much more! The morning session begins with an hour of pure worship which is so so beautiful. It then leads into the lesson. After our first session, our squad meets up and debriefs what was discussed in session. After that we get lunch woohoo!!! We then have an hour of free time then comes our next and last session of the day! After that we meet up with our teams and have team building time! That can consist of anything from silly games to sharing testimonies! Then we get dinner around 7:00pm followed by campus cleanup! Then the rest of the night is free time and we head to our tents by 11:00pm!
That is what a regular day at training camp looks like!! We also have scheduled showers and hand-washing our clothes so we tend to get a little stinky (it’s a wonderful bonding experience haha). (Ps. The bucket showers are SO FUN). These 3 weeks have been truly challenging and life changing (physically, emotionally, and spiritually) in the best way possible. I have learned so so much (you will hear all about what I’ve leaned in the next post!!) already! I am so so grateful for where God has led me and am so excited to see what all He has in store!!
Thank you for all of the prayers and support! I will be posting as much as I can (every 1-2 weeks or so) so make sure you subscribe and follow along the journey! THE LORD IS WORKING HE IS SO GOOD!!
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! PRIASE THE LORD!”
